Historic Fredericksburg, once a sleepy little town, has grown into a bustling suburb of Washington D.C. Many of our residents work for the Federal Government: the Pentagon, Navy Annex, Capitol Hill, or any of the other Federal Agencies calling the District their home. These residents access their work place by taking the VRE Commuter rail or by carpooling from one of our many commuter lots. Employment opportunities abound in the area with the close proximity of the Marine Corps base of Quantico (also home to the FBI and DEA) AP Hill, and the Dahlgren Naval Surface Weapons Center.
We have two brand new hospitals as well; Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center and Stafford Hospital. Many new residents fill their weekends with the sights of our Nation’s Capital which include the Washington Monument, Arlington Cemetery, U.S. Capital Building, the White House, the Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts, the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, just to name a few. Great shopping opportunities abound, with Central Park being one of the largest retail commercial centers on the east coast, just 5 miles from our location, via River Road which traverses along the scenic Rappahannock River. Fredericksburg is no longer the sleepy little town it once was thought to be.
